Celebrities have been sporting various shades of pinks and reds for years (who could forget 90’s punk-rock icon Gwen Stefani?), and we’ve loved every look since then. As they say, love is blind, and we agree: love comes in all different colors. We tend to think of pink and red as the standard colors for February, but purples, magentas, rose, and peach shouldn’t be forgotten! Anything from rosy reds, bold berries, pastel pinks, piercing purple, or bubblegum pops of bright pink color can get you to look and feel your love-liest.
If all-over color isn’t exactly your thing, you can still rock the look. Pink-inspired hair trends have gotten creative over the years: think dip-dyed pink ends, ombre looks that blend two shades in one, or peach-colored highlights that balance out your natural blonde hair.
Love has no bounds and knows no rules, but if you’re looking for a little guidance when it comes to color, we think lighter pink shades (like peach, frosty pink, or muted and pastel pinks) tend to go great with lighter complexions. Purple-pink shades (think berries or magenta) are a bold and beautiful transition from a medium to light brown color. And red can be rocked by just about anyone - no roses or candy hearts required.
