Pride Month 2023

Pride Month 2023

Rainbow Connection

Jumping into June, we’re ready to celebrate Pride Month and LGBTQ+ identities with one of the most creative forms of self-expression…hair color!

By dipping into different hair color looks, you can express your personality, signal your identity and style, and customize your hair looks in a way that is true to you.

We love seeing the wide spectrum of color designs people create—and the visibility, solidarity, and self-expression they represent.

And to help you put your pride on parade (or to show up as an ally), we’re making it easy to rock the rainbow.

Love In Color

The pride flag, also known as the rainbow flag, represents the LGBTQ+ community in a widely recognized six stripe pattern of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.

Each color in the gay pride flag holds a specific meaning, representing different aspects of the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Red represents life.
  • Orange represents healing.
  • Yellow represents sunlight and the bright spirit of the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Green represents nature, growth, and harmony.
  • Blue represents serenity and acceptance.
  • Purple represents spirit.

Together, these colors create a rainbow, and a symbol of diversity, inclusivity, and solidarity within the LGBTQ+ community.

Embrace the Look: Whether you choose one, several, or all these colors to combine into one look is completely up to you—and that’s the beauty of it. Your hair art starts and ends with your vision and inspiration.

Show your pride with pops of color, bold roots or panels of color, whether creating a traditional rainbow or a holographic look, it’s all up to you.

Play with dyeing hair extensions that can be clipped in and easily removed. Your pride is permanent, but your color can be temporary and fun.

Everything you need to reach that rainbow is in the Splat Mega Pride Singles Bundle.  With lightening bleach and a single packet of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, the sky is the limit!

Splat Mega Pride Singles Bundle includes our customer favorite Lightening Bleach + 6 Splat Singles. Splat Singles feature a unique liquid formula that offers you more creative customization with your Splat Colors. Use them alone for long-lasting color or add a few drops into your favorite Splat shade to create a custom color.

Born This Way

The “B” in LQTBQ+ represents the bisexual community, and their deeply personal and individual sexual orientation. In contrast to the six bright primary colors of the rainbow flag, the bisexual flag promotes visibility and unity with a beautiful trio of stripes: deep pink, lavender, and dark blue.

  • The top stripe of the flag is pink, representing same-gender attraction.
  • The middle stripe is purple, which represents a combination of same-gender attraction (pink) and opposite-gender attraction (blue). It symbolizes bisexuality as an attraction to both males and females.
  • The bottom stripe is blue, representing opposite-gender attraction.

Embrace the Look: These three shades complement each other and blend beautifully into a multidimensional effect.

A prismatic or holographic look is achieved when you place the colors next to each other but let them meet and mingle a little. You can try lavender melting into pink with a blue root. Or maybe even a split of purple and pink, with tipped blue ends.  Or leave the root natural and do a dip of the three colors.

You can also play with the intensity of the shades by starting with small drops of color for a pastel or deepening it with additional drops.

Splat Bisexual Singles Bundle includes our customer favorite Lightening Bleach + 3 Splat Singles. Splat Singles features a unique liquid formula that offers you more creative customization with your Splat Colors. Use them alone for long-lasting color or add a few drops into your favorite Splat shade to create a custom color, level, or tone. Colors: Pink Fetish, Lusty Lavender, and Blue Envy.

Infinite Spectrum of Love

The colors associated with the pansexual (“pan” from the Greek which means “all” or “every”) community are pink, yellow, and blue. Pansexuality transcends gender boundaries and so can your hair color when you think beyond traditional color placement.

Embrace the Look: Create a “root-y” trending look with any of these shades by applying color to the roots of your hair. Pink roots look great on blondes.  And almost any hair color can pull off some moody blue roots. This can be standalone or in combination with other colors.

Or “dip” your ends in color, by applying dye just to the ends. You can make it an even application with one color all the way around, so it looks like you dipped your head over and let your strands swim in a little color, or you can vary the color choices—and length of your tips—for a prism effect.

Splat Pansexual Singles Bundle includes 1 Lightening Bleach, Pink Fetish, Lemon Drop, and Aqua Rush.

To preserve the vibrancy of your colors and to keep hair healthy, Splats ColorLock Shampoo and Conditioner will help keep that rainbow bright, those roots rocking, and that prism at its prettiest.
