Beautycon LA 2018 was one of the best Beautycon Festivals by far. Beautycon LA took place on July 14-15 in South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center from 12 pm to 6 pm (10 am for the Early Bird Attendees). Before the doors had opened for the Early Bird attendees, there were lines wrapping around South Hall, waiting excitedly for the official announcement of entry.
Multiple large booths were set up throughout the hall for the public to enjoy. Each booth had its own unique design with different forms of entertainment from photobooths, to games to win free product. This year, BeautyCon LA had a brand-new section called “K-TOWN” specifically for Korean Beauty companies. Multiple companies and influencers from the Korean Beauty world had flown out from Seoul, South Korea just to attend Beautycon LA.
A-List celebrities attended Beautycon LA such as Kim Kardashian, Snoop Dogg, and Drew Barrymore. Kim Kardashian took the main stage on Sunday along with Moj Mahdara, the CEO & Co-Founder of Beautycon, and discussed how Kim made history within the beauty world upon her online launch of KKW Beauty. Her five-year-old daughter, North West, watched her mother’s panel in the front row and saw “what mommy does” for the first time. Kim Kardashian and her daughter had a big day at Beautycon LA with their matching hairstyles.
Splat was part of Beautycon LA exclusively in the Talent Lounge. The Talent Lounge is a VIP area where all talent such as celebrities, bloggers, YouTubers, models, and other influencers get to meet with other brands and people to network or to simply make friends. Each brand is situated on a bar top that is set up in rows where they can gift samples or products to the VIP attendees. We had an awesome time meeting everyone and cannot wait for next year’s Beautycon LA.
